About This School
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is among some of the most formidable tech-based schools, being well-known for many varieties of STEM programs. Being a polytechnic school, there is no shortage of available STEM routes to choose from at RPI, ranging from traditional engineering routes to game and simulation design. If new and modern majors are of interest, RPI houses some cutting-edge majors, like video game engineering, which is coupled with the well-established computer science track. Along with being the oldest technological research institute, the tech programs RPI has boast impressive alumni networks. A co-founder a NVIDIA, Curtis Priem, and even the creator of Email, Ray Tomlinson, just to name a few, are all RPI graduates.
